Dog Waiting for Walk

Who am i?

Hi! I'm Lucy

Quite rightly, you're probably wondering why you should pick me to look after your dogs, whether that’s for a walk or an enrichment ‘pop-in’ visit.

Well, I make sure your canine companions have the best time when they're with me.

While I’m with your dog, I do activities which are rewarding and burn off their energy, so afterwards, they're ready for a happy nap.

Why choose me?

I have experience with breeds of many sizes, from Miniature Dachshund to German Shepherd, and many ages, from eight weeks to 14 years. In addition:

  • I have a clear DBS check
  • I am trained in Canine First Aid
  • I am a fully-insured dog walker

I’ve also completed the following courses with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers:

  • Dog walking, Care, Welfare and Professional Practices
  • Canine Adolescence
  • Loose Lead Masterclass
  • The Canine Brain
  • Red Flags and Canine Emotional Health
  • Career as a Dog Trainer

Dog walks

Paw-Perfect Dogs is based in Thatcham.

I take the dogs for walks along many of the footpaths and bridleways in leafy West Berkshire, away from busy parks and other built-up places.

When we're out, we make time to take in the sniffs, sights and sounds of the countryside, to add to the enrichment of their experience.

I only practice positive, reward-based methodology, so you can be confident that your dog will be treated with respect at all times.

Prices

I only walk dogs together who are from the same household.

Prices are:

One hour: £20 for the first dog, and £12 for each dog after that.

Half an hour: £15 for the first dog, and £10 for each dog after that.

Longer walks are available

Please get in touch to discuss.

Your dog will have the walk for the time you’ve paid for.

For example. If you pay £20 for a one-hour solo walk, your dog will have a full hour’s walk. Travel time to and from the walk location will not eat into the walk time.

Enrichment visits

Not all dogs are able to go for a walk, but still need some love and attention during the day.

I can pop-in to see your dogs and let them out for the toilet, entertain them (I have an ever-growing toy collection!) or just keep them company.

I’ll be guided by you on their preferences, to make sure they have the best experience.

The process

Step one

Get in touch!

Let me know what you’re looking for and tell me a bit about your dog. If we’re both comfortable that your dog will be happy with me, we can arrange a meet and greet to check everyone is comfortable around each other.

Step two

The meet and greet will be structured by your dog, so it may be that we talk first then go for a short walk before we come to an agreement and sign the paperwork.

For some dogs who are anxious around strangers or whose behaviours may need more understanding, we can arrange a second walk together.

If you prefer to have a third walk together, this will be chargeable at £20 per hour.
